Koh Kood Little Hut is the newest addition to the relatively unknown Hin Dam area where many people pass by on the way to or from Ao Salad without even noticing.
Koh Kood Little Hut is run by a very friendly retired couple from Bangkok. Ms. Aoy and Mr. Kai speak good English and enjoy taking care of their guests. After many years they made their dream come true by offering people a relaxing stay in a natural and laidback setting.
The beautiful garden is home to many different orchids, fruit trees and Thai herbs. Ms. Aoy knows exactly what grows in her garden and will happily show guests around if they like. In the middle of the garden is the restaurant which is also a relaxing area surrounded by the bungalows. The large wooden house offers four guest house rooms upstairs complemented with a sitting area that offers a nice garden view.
Each room is constructed and decorated with a quirky mix of old and new Thai design with even some antique furniture here and there. Koh Kood Little Hut is the kind of place where people keep discovering lovely new details as they stay longer and have a good look around. Ms. Aoy is more than happy to share the interesting history of all things with those who appreciate it.
All rooms at Koh Kood Little Hut come with air-conditioning & tv and there are several refrigerators for shared use. Some rooms have an en-suite bathroom, some have an outdoor but private bathroom and three of the guest house rooms have a shared bathroom. All bathrooms are equipped with a Western toilet and hot shower. The bungalows have single beds that can easily be moved together. The guest house rooms have double beds.
The Sunflower and Orchid bungalow are in a unit together separated by a very nice lounge area with refrigerator. The rooms are sold separately. Sunflower consists of an air-conditioned master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a small fan hut in front. Neighboring Orchid is a cozy wooden bungalow for two persons. The private bathroom is behind the bedroom and can be reached by a sliding door.
Tulip and Lily are two adjacent rooms in the back of the property with a spacious shaded balcony in front overlooking the garden. Both rooms (sold separately) have their own bathroom. A refrigerator for shared use can be found on the balcony.
Jasmine is a very unique little house with lots of funny details and a large bathroom that can be reached by a sliding door.
The guesthouse consists of the kitchen, small office and living area downstairs and the guest house rooms upstairs. Upon entering the second floor there’s a lovely sitting area with nice garden view and a refrigerator for guests. Carnation, Rose and Lotus all offer air-conditioning, a double bed and TV. They have a shared bathroom that can be found in the back of the house, one for ladies and one for gentlemen. The VIP room is opposite these rooms and offers a spacious air-conditioned bedroom with TV and en-suite private bathroom with hot shower.
Koh Kood Little Hut is a great place for people who appreciate unique Thai style accommodation in a natural and laidback setting away from mainstream tourism yet with a professional service level.
